Evergreen

We recently paid a visit to Babson College (above), which is near Boston. The college has received acclaim in Entrepreneur Magazine for its top-notch program for business entrepreneurs. Other campus visits in this region included Wellesley College, MIT, Harvard University, Northeastern and Boston College. The co-op program at Northeastern University is of particular interest to those looking for internships with a global focus.

We also visited the University of Oregon, including the new gem of the campus, the Lundquist School of Business. See our website for details. The Oregon Institute of Marine Biology located on the magnificent Oregon coast is the venue for the new undergraduate majore in biology.

Take notice of the new University of British Columbia. The university's library (above) is at the center of a magnificent campus which includes an array of global programs and internships for students. The setting in Vancouver is terrific for outdoor activities and cultural events, and the campus has a strong international focus. Occidental College in California also offers strong internship opportunities, and a strong international focus and community focus.

"Colleges That Change Lives" comes to Seattle/Bellevue Sunday, August 8, 2004. CTLC schools are a group of distinctive colleges and universities that should not be overlooked and are worth serious consideration. While each of these 40 CTCL schools is unique in its own right, they all have something much more important than just a book cover in common.

CTLC author Loren Pope says that "These schools share two essential elements: a familial sense of communal enterprise that gets students heavily involved in cooperative rather than competitive learning, and a faculty of scholars devoted to helping young people develop their powers, mentors who often become their valued friends." Says Pope, "The secret of these 40 colleges' magic is not in what they do, for they do many different things. It is in how they do it, and that is where they have so much in common."
